TABOR, Good for Colorado
The Taxpayer's Bill of Rights
Coloradans are receiving TABOR tax refunds again this year!
What is TABOR? TABOR is short for Taxpayers Bill of Rights
Why is TABOR good? TABOR is a Colorado Constitutional Amendment that protects taxpayers from government collecting more taxes than they should. And if more taxes are collected than is supposed to, government owes you a tax refund. Also, the government cannot raise your taxes without voter approval thanks to TABOR.
Why are Coloradans receiving money back? The government collected more than they were allowed so they must return that money back to taxpayers. That is the law, thanks to TABOR.
TABOR for the last 3 decades has helped Colorado keep a strong economy, allow for transparency from government and not allow government to take advantage of taxpayers by collecting more than they should.
Politicians would rather get rid of TABOR, so they don’t have to give YOUR money back or ask YOU before raising your taxes. Sign the pledge to let politicians know you support TABOR and your refunds coming in this year!
