A quality education is key to achieving the American Dream. Sadly, there are many barriers standing in the way of Virginia’s children receiving that education.

That’s why I’m urging you to support HB 1508, and approve Education Savings Accounts for eligible Virginia students!

By empowering parents to customize an education experience that meets the individual needs of their child, you will be improving the lives of millions of Virginians.

ESAs will create a fair playing field in Virginia, by allowing parents to make decisions that are right for their children.

Did you know that many states have a program entitling families with school aged children to thousands of dollars to improve their education?

Unfortunately, Virginia doesn’t have this program yet, but the General Assembly has the opportunity to pass it this year!

Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) allow parents, for eligible students, to receive one-third of a student’s education funds into a personal, parent-controlled account. Parents are then empowered to customize an education experience that meets the individual needs of their child.

ESA funds can be used for things like:
Textbooks
Private school
Tutoring
Transportation
Technology
College credits
And more!

ESAs allow parents to take control of their child’s education, and it’s long past time for Virginia lawmakers to enact this life-changing policy!
