If Congress doesn’t act, millions of Americans will lose access to critical telehealth. It is time to make access telehealth permanent. Making telehealth permanent is part of a Personal Option for health care that puts patients in control of their access, affordability, and quality of care.
During the pandemic, burdensome rules that limited geographical access to telehealth were waived benefitting over 60 million Americans. Unless Congress acts to extend these provisions, Americans in rural areas, growing suburban communities, and urban health care deserts where there is already limited access to medical providers will be hurt most. We cannot afford to lose telehealth access.
The United States House of Representatives has already passed numerous bills out of committee that protect telehealth, but now it is time to bring them to the floor for a vote – particularly bills (H.R. 1843), (H.R. 6033), (H.R. 4507), (H.R. 8089), and (H.R. 7858).
Your work has been instrumental in moving these crucial policies forward, and we thank you for all you’re done to get the bills where they are. We are so close! Let’s push on and finish the job!
