I'm writing to you today calling for you to support the following immigration bills:
- America’s Children Act (H.R.5528 / S.2886)
- Essential Workers for Economic Advancement Act (H.R.5494)
- Religious Workforce Protection Act (H.R.2672 / S.1298)
These bills deliver the necessary reforms in legal pathways in immigration meant to strengthen our labor force and make sure that the American Dream remains alive and strong.
The America’s Children Act grants permanent residency to over 250,000 young adults who legally entered the U.S. as children and have maintained legal status for at least a decade. The Essential Workers for Economic Advancement Act creates a new visa program for non-agricultural essential workers in industries like hospitality and construction, with built-in protections for American labor. Meanwhile, the Religious Workforce Protection Act allows foreign-born religious workers to extend their stay and change ministry roles without restarting the green card process, helping preserve religious continuity and freedom.
Americans agree that our immigrations system is broken, the latest LIBRE Institute poll found that 8 in 10 Latinos agree, and an additional 9 in 10 support expanding legal pathways to citizenship. The solution is clear, with current illegal border crossings at historic lows, now is America’s golden opportunity to move on from protecting the border and finally focus on reforming our immigration system.
I urge you all to support this set of bills to keep the momentum going for a better future and an immigration system that works for everyone.
